Community: Worrying

Each week, we gather our community’s wisdom. This week, we asked:

What is something you’re worrying about?

"My safety and protection."

"The decline of my mother's health."

"Not living in the present and regretting the things I didn’t verbalize with the people I love before it’s too late. Telling them how much I love and admire them."

"My sister's mental health."

Being a part of my brother's upcoming wedding when we're not in the best place currently. Our relationship is strained and my emotions are conflicting between pride and anger.

"Getting all my jobs done before the summer holidays end and I have to go back to work."

"I’m worried I won’t be able to provide for my baby boy if I decide to leave my job."

"It’s not a constant worry, but it comes up every now and then…finances. My worry is struggling to find freedom in a society that values income over time."

“Finding the right job opportunity.”

“Why I don’t do the things that are important to me.”

“Not being enough for my significant other.”

“Seems like its little fires everywhere.”

“My future career.”

“When and if I will find a job — I’ve been laid off for a few months now and living with worries.”

“My relationships with the people around me.”

“Whether I can build a healthy relationship with someone I have had unhealthy dynamics with in the past.”

“What other people are thinking.”

“If there’s actually someone for me.”

“The future of my country.”

“My OCD.”

“If I’m doing my job well enough, if my staff feel supported enough.”

“My first time giving a dance workshop.”

“School starting.”

“Being lonely forever because of my standards.”

“Whether I’ve made the right decision.”

“My career.”

“Leaving a relationship. I finally did it but the memories are killing me.”

“Doing something I will regret.”

“The state of the world.”

“Unrequited love.”

‘Being more vulnerable in therapy.”

“I don’t want to realize that I will never be listened to by the people I wanted the most to understand me.”

“Going into work tomorrow.”

“Being alone when I get old.”

“The feeling that I’ve missed out on so much just to achieve and now I’m permanently behind.”

“Not having a job.”

“Death.”
