Community: 2022 & 2023

Each week, we gather our community’s wisdom. This week, we asked:

What did you learn in 2022 and what are your intentions for 2023?

"I learned to be true to myself and follow my heart. My intention for 2023 is to be gentle and kind to myself even when I feel pressured to find a job after I graduate from college."

"I learned that although, I love teams and believe everyone needs support, I don't have to 'okay' all my decisions through a coach/mentor/etc. I'm capable and I can trust myself to know that ultimately it is up to me to make the decision for myself. I realized that my support team is there to help guide me and support me, but not make my decisions for me."

"What I learnt in 2022: just as I think in regards to others, it’s ok for me to mess up. And my needs are valid; if I do something that might put someone out a little, it’s ok, I’m human, I make mistakes, and also have needs. My intention for 2023? I think continue to try and hold my needs in mind whilst also being considerate of those of the people around me."

”In 2022, I learned that I let other people influence me, but I do not let myself influence other people with my truths and authenticity. In 2023, I want to be intentional about creating a space just for me in the spaces that I occupy and walk with it wherever I go.”

"I learned that I actually am okay. That the voice in my head since as long as I can remember telling me I wasn’t, was never my own voice, but was my father's. And intentions for 2023 are to continue with my healing journey, with a focus on love and being present."
