Never too late

“I’m too old.”
“I can’t try that now.”
“I missed my chance.”

These are stories we tell ourselves. Often, we tell them because they’re safer than admitting what we actually want:

“I want to do what I dreamed of doing when I was young.”
“I want to try that—now.”
“I want to take a chance on something.”

It’s scary to acknowledge these hopes. But do you know what’s scarier? Denying them. Because when you do, you hurt yourself and you hurt our world that so desperately needs your unique gifts to make it better.

Today, start telling yourself a different story. A story like these ones:

“I’m ready to do this.”
“I can try it and see what happens.”
“This moment is my chance.”
