Whatever happens, be kind to yourself

Here is something to remember today:

When you're in pain, being unkind to yourself won't alleviate it. In fact, studies have found that when you are self-critical, you increase your stress.

What does help? Being kind to yourself. Be gentle, be generous, be loving, be patient, be compassionate, be forgiving. That's what you need when you're in pain.
