We’re here to help

happiness after helping someone, stress after helping someone

Helping other people to be happier is the very best way to help yourself to be happier, too. Acts of kindness positively affect your mental, emotional and even physical well-being, with studies demonstrating that it can lower both your blood pressure and cortisol. Even people who are struggling themselves can benefit: one study asked people experiencing depression to go out and help others, and found that it was the single most powerful way to boost their well-being.

Take a moment to think about who in your life is having a hard time and what you might do to support them. It can be as simple as sending a text message, sharing a funny video, dropping off a meal, or inviting them to spend time together.

We are here to help each other.
