If you feel uncomfortable, remember this

If you seek to grow as a person, you will inevitably experience discomfort.

It isn't easy to stretch yourself in new ways. It isn't comfortable to take risks. It isn't pleasurable to sit with hard problems and feelings.

But the discomfort is often worthwhile because it helps us to transform, to evolve, and to contribute.

Reframe your feelings. Instead of viewing discomfort as something to be discouraged about, see it as something to celebrate: you're sticking with something tough, and in the process of doing so, you're going to transform.

The next time that you are experiencing discomfort, remind yourself: "This discomfort isn't a sign to quit. It's a sign that I'm about to grow."
