Look with new eyes
If you want to transform your day for the better, try this simple exercise.
After you have read this, close your eyes for a few seconds.
Then, open them back up.
Imagine that you are seeing everything as though it is brand new.
The home that you live in, the people you have gotten used to, the body that you take for granted, or the beautiful nature around you.
Pay real attention to it, as though you will never, ever get the chance to look at it again. Marvel at it.
This is a practice that you can do, again and again, any time you want to feel more peace, comfort, or joy. There is so much beauty all around us. We just need to look for it — and at it — in the right way.
