Weekly: Turn it around
Old Happy: "I have no power to make anything happen."
New Happy: “I have the greatest power of all—to make others happier."
You, as a reader of this newsletter, are a part of an incredible community, made up of over a million people that live in every corner of the world. That means that, as a community, we have the power to make the world a happier one—and we can begin right now, with just one small action.
Let's look around at the people in our homes, or those we pass on our way to work, or those who sit across from us at lunch, or those whose names are in our contact lists, or those in our community who are unjustly treated, or those in our society who need a helping hand most. Family, loved ones, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, strangers, humans. People who need us.
And let's do something to help make their lives a little bit better.
Every small act makes a difference. And as you do yours, think about your fellow community members all over the world who are simultaneously taking action. Know that you are contributing to a great wave of love, support and kindness, one that is slowly but surely making the world a happier place. Know that you are also helping yourself, as offering kindness has been proven to reduce depression, anxiety, loneliness, bad moods, the impact of stress on your body, and even benefits if you're going through something incredibly difficult.
Look at you; look at us. Look at what's possible when we come together and help each other.
