Weekly: Be the person

Old Happy: “I'll never be able to make the world better."
New Happy: “I can do something to make it better right now."

Every day, each of us crosses paths with many different people. They are waking up in our homes, standing on our subway cars, sitting across from us at the office, spending time in our local coffee shops and laundromats, or on our phones. Family, loved ones, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, strangers, humans. People who, just like us, want to be happy.

We have the power to be the ones to help those people fulfill that goal. Every single interaction has the chance to lift up those people and provide them with a moment of joy, if we choose to.

Today, as you go about your daily activities, what would it look like to keep this truth in mind, and to act upon it? To see every interaction as a chance for creating and sharing joy? For as it turns out, that's one of the best choices that we can make for our own joy, too.
